Hook-A-Hero is a 100% volunteer-driven, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded by first responders and civilians committed to supporting those who serve and protect our communities. Our mission is to provide confidential mental health services and a trusted peer support network for

first responders and military personnel.

The demands of public service careers often expose individuals to chronic stress, trauma, and isolation—challenges too many of our heroes feel compelled to face alone. Hook-A-Hero exists to change that. Through partnerships with carefully vetted, experienced counselors, we offer specialized therapy, counseling, and coaching tailored to the unique needs of

first responders and military members.

 

In addition to clinical support, Hook-A-Hero facilitates purposeful outdoor and peer-based activities that foster connection, resilience, and belonging. With confidentiality, anonymity, and unwavering support at the forefront, we help our heroes begin their journey toward recovery—and the rediscovery of purpose, passion, and fulfillment in their lives.
